Final Call for Papers
The National Conference & International Forum on Interpreting is a major event for interpreting educators, researchers and practitioners both in and outside China. Following the previous six successful sessions held between 1996 and 2006, the 7th National Conference & International Forum on Interpreting is to be held on May 24 – 25, 2008 at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). The conference will gather experts from the interpreting functions of relevant international organizations, representatives from the foreign affairs departments of the Chinese government, and scholars from higher learning institutions in China and around the world on the beautiful campus of GDUFS to discuss the future development of interpreting teaching and research in China.

Registration Fee: 800 RMB (400 RMB for postgraduate students). The organizers shall arrange meals and recommend hotels for conference attendants. Transportation and lodging are to be borne by the attendants.

Paper Submission Procedures:
1. Abstracts must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org before March 1, 2008;
2. Abstracts should be within 600 characters in Chinese or 400 words in English. The following information should be included:

3. A panel of experts will be invited to review the abstracts and select the papers to be submitted to the conference. Letters of invitation will be issued before March 31, 2008.
